In the Lap of Nature

Village is one of my favorite places to be. The fresh air, the greens, the simplicity of life is just what makes it so special. And also let’s not forget the photogenic nature.

This is a beautiful shot I captured of a butterfly for which I thank my village… (Click it to enlarge)

This shot leaves you with a serene feeling and a slight essence of what a village means. This shot resets me every time I look at it.

The original shot was larger. I took it on Photoshop, cropped it and lifted the colors a bit. The camera was Canon 700D with 55-250mm lense. Here is the original shot:

Original shot. Canon 700D with 55-250mm lense, f/5.6, 1/160 sec., ISO 400, Metering mode: Center Weighted Average

As you can see, the beautiful black butterfly was sitting over some leftover of coconut tree. There was tiny plants all around it trying to poke through. The small black butterfly calmly sitting in the middle of all this created an amazing shot. As if the butterfly was safely sitting in the lap of nature.

I am proud of capturing such a good piece of nature. Hope you like it.
